Governance:
The Clients desired outcomes will be achieved through Urban Healthcare acting as the owner’s representative on key project elements, ensuring the Program Director delivers.  Urban Healthcare oversight is supported by independent audit and verification of quantities claimed on a ‘cost plus’ basis.

Methodology:
Based on the current learnings, systems and processes from numerous hospital builds, we can leverage the competency and capacity to achieve an effective and efficient project.  This will be based on an alliance approach, Urban Healthcare manages all inputs to ensure delivery of the projects objectives.

Service Delivery and Care

  • Create a patient-focused health system that encourages innovative models of care delivered in a world class major regional Hospital
  • Integrate with a diversified health delivery requirement, utilising appropriate eHealth and Telehealth arrangements
  • Deliver operational efficiency, optimising the use of people and resources, capable of achieving Health Service planning targets and sustaining service levels into the future
  • Promote evidence based design to create an environment that enhances patient safety and outcomes and clinical excellence

People

  • Grow and source suitable local people to effectively deliver the health services
  • Develop, with trained staff, the new protocols for certification and operation of the hospital
  • Support attraction and retention of well trained, committed and motivated staff by innovative design of building and infrastructure

Access, Egress and Utilities

  • Provide clear points of site access and egress ensuring the efficient movement of public, staff, emergency (vehicular and helicopter) and service vehicles in and around the site
  • Maintain convenience of access for pedestrians, persons with disabilities, services with general campus access as a key planning element
  • Ensure that redundancy standards for utilities are available to support the hospital

Future Proof and Flexible

  • Encourage flexible design and infrastructure capable of renewal with new technologies (clinical and information) and emerging trends in clinical practice, models of care and changes in government policy, legislation and standards
  • Plan for maximising the use of all facilities developed on the campus
